Greetings to all, has any body published a scientific paper in EuroAsian Journal of BioSciences and if so could you please tell me if there was any problems regarding communications with the journal and what email was used
I agree with Mohammed O. Al-Amr : It all looks odd when it comes to this journal. First of all, although the Scopus indexing seems to look legit: https://www.scopus.com/sourceid/21100242840 it is troubling if you look at the ‘Scopus content coverage’ you see that till 2018 this journal published round 10 papers annually. Last two years they published 333 and 400 papers respectively (this is suspect and often a reason to be discontinued by Scopus).
They are linked to “Global Research Foundation”: http://www.globalconference.info/ and the given “publication opportunities” includes at least five journals that are known hijacked journals and/or predatory: “Test Engineering and Management”, “SOLID STATE TECHNOLOGY”, “International Journal of Future Generation Communication” and “Networking and International Journal of Grid and Distributed Computing” (last three ‘published’ by SERSC). This is a second indication that there is something going on (possibly hijacked) with this journal.
Third, till 2017 every paper had an assigned DOI and after that it seems to have stopped.
So, in conclusion it seems that either the operation stopped somewhere in 2017 and the journal has been hijacked (the old website used to be www.ejobios.com and everything is transferred to the current www.ejobios.org) or the people who run the operation now seem to have turned the journal into a ‘money machine’ and I expect this journal to be discontinued in Scopus soon.
Best regards.
PS. According to the comments section that can be found here: https://www.scimagojr.com/journalsearch.php?q=21100242840&tip=sid&clean=0 they ask 400 something USD (no info on the website about this).
For those interested, you can check known (and yet not included) examples of hijacked journals here: https://beallslist.net/hijacked-journals/ and here: https://www.researchgate.net/post/New_very_misleading_type_of_scam_Anyone_with_recent_examples
