I am interested in reading a completed reference which contains theories in related to economic integration between nations. A preferable one is that expressing globalization theories as well.
Laursen Finn “Theoretical Perspectives on Comparative Regional Integration” w Laursen Finn Comparative regional integration: theoretical perspectives, Ashgate Publishing Limited, 2003.
W.Mattli "The logic of regional integration: Europe and beyond", Cambridge University Press 1999 .
Baldwin, Richard and Wyplosz, Charles 2009 “The Economics of European Integration”, McGraw-Hill
Ehsan, in the field of International Political Economy (IPE) there are many ways of thinking about economic integration, and there is massive literature dealing with each facet: trade, international finance, foreign direct investment (FDI), foreign aid, remittances from diaspora populations, etc. You may just want to pick up an IPE reader to get a sense of the field. For my classes I use International Political Economy: Perspectives on Global Power and Wealth (Norton). This isn't exhaustive, but it's a start (and many of the articles are available online). Also check out: Axel Hülsemeyer, International Political Economy: A Reader (Oxford).
Thanks for giving me a great reference. It seems that economic integration is one of the main research interests of Finn Laursen. He has some other informative papers in this topic.
