Hello, I am attempting to conduct action research based on the following research question. Could you please provide any advice, authors or research field to deeper exploring? Thanks in advance. Problem: Due to different evidence observable in a 4thgrade students, and the aims presented in the national curriculum program from English in 4th grade, MINEDUC (2018) It could be observed that students remain a limited vocabulary which impacts directly in the development of reading comprehension skills. Given that students struggle in the understanding of main and specific ideas in a text because of the time they spend trying to infer meaning of key words in a passage and ineffectiveness of traditional vocabulary teaching methods.
I think this is a good research question. There are things I have noticed about the use of Quizlet that can have a negative effect on this study. You may want to consider them. I have watched students randomly click, very rapidly through a Quizlet without reading anything. Then, they try again, quickly & randomly to improve their score. How will you know that they are using Quizlet properly? Another point to consider -- who is creating the quizlet? The teacher, the student? To control for extraneous effects, I would have one person create the Quizlet questions for all participants. To look for research, I would look at topics such as "frontloading vocabulary". Perhaps you may want to consider this structure.

When Quizlet is properly incorporated into the teaching and learning process it certainly motivates students. It energizes their minds and cognition learning is evident. It is also dynamic and engaging.
The findings will reveal whether or not it is beneficial.

Generally, the learning features found in Quizlet activate the memory of primary school students and motivate them to continue without feeling bored, but that depends on the way the Quizlet was structured. They increase their learning interaction, comprehension and achievement. Some studies reported significant improvement of the level of learners after using Quizlet. Besides, this Web app is a kind of fun for learners. Just review the Lit and start testing this app with your students, and I'm sure you'll have positive results.
