Problem: Due to different evidence observable in a 4thgrade students, and the aims presented in the national curriculum program from English in 4th grade, MINEDUC (2018) It could be observed that students remain a limited vocabulary which impacts directly in the development of reading comprehension skills. Given that students struggle in the understanding of main and specific ideas in a text because of the time they spend trying to infer meaning of key words in a passage and ineffectiveness of traditional vocabulary teaching methods.
