SInce cost of treatment is a major challenge in healthcare , I seek to develop model where high-risk and high-cost patients can easily be identified.

@Hi Jacqueline, perhaps look at the Ghana Demographic Health Surveys? Might be of some help since I also agree you needed to give us a bit more information on your project.
Major diseases have to be identified first and then the area /location should be mapped socioeconomically.. to get the idea about high risk and high cost patients.
It is VERY important to be aware of the fact that ¨Preventive¨Medicine is almost nonexistent in those countries. This is the reason why they have high mortality rates. When patients reach the Governmental Health Centers, they become a serious economic and financial liability for those economies. On the other hand, by incentivizing an Investment Portafolio on Preventive Medicine, will lower the cost per cápita of the health services.
