My lab has two addresses, and the nitrogen tank to store the cells is at a different address than the cells are grown.
Can I use the freezing protocol with Mr. Frosty until the step of -80 ° C freezer, but then I have to transport the cells to another part of the lab for placing in liquid nitrogen. How could I do? Could I put the Mr frosty in a box with dry ice?
We have no transport bottle with liquid nitrogen.

That sounds similar to our shipping protocol for PBMCs, and we have no problems with their viability once they're eventually defrosted. How far apart are your labs? Provided you can keep the cells at -80, there should not be any problems before you transfer them to liquid nitrogen. It is not really necessary to leave the aliquots in the Mr Frosty either, they can go directly into the dry ice (or put them in a small plastic bag, then into the ice).
You can ship cell on dry ice. infact, we receive frozen mammalian cells on Dry Ice from ATCC.
The time between here and the other part of the lab is about 1 hour, Amanda. But make senses about the cells shipped from ATCC into the dry ice.
