I am trying to study deformation of a hydrogel particle, fixed on one surface of a microchannel when it is exposed to laminar flow. When I tried to simulate this using Fluid-Structure-Interaction in COMSOL, solution does not converge when the particle deforms a lot and touches the channel.

Should I be using a two-phase flow instead (as the particle is viscoelastic)? If yes, what is the difference between two-phase, two-phase level-set? I know the Young's modulus of hydrogel. But how do I define the viscous properties of hydrogel in two-phase simulation?
