Hello everyone, I am new to colony formation assay technique. I wanted to know, is there any chemical agent available to induce colony formation in cancer cell lines?
Treat the cells with CHX for 24hrs, collect the floating cells gently and plate for 12 hrs in new medium to see colonies formed by blebbishield emergency program. (Note: VEGFR2 negative cells may not form spheres). No need of soft-agar.

I'm not sure if it has any connection to your question, but the organism about which more publications exist, Dyctiostelium discoideum, of course, it's genome is already sequenced, under the effects of a substance called: 'Acrasyne', in fact, Cyclic AMP, came together from medium and formed something close to an sporangium.
