Hi all,we obtained some mutated miRNA sequences and planned to predict their target via TargetScan, but the website of TargetScan only recognize rna names, which means that miRNA not included in database cannot be recognized by website.miR2GO online tool(http://compbio.uthsc.edu/miR2GO/home.php)claims to be able to achive this goal, but i failed to find out how it works.More importantly, their results is a little bit weird.Predict result for wildtype miRNA is different from what i get directly from Targetscan website. For mutated miRNA,if mutation occurs in seed region,miR2GO predicted zero target;otherwise, predicted target is exactly the same as wildtype.I wish to predict the target for mutated miRNA directly by Targetscan to confirm this "perfect" result, can anybody teach me how to do that?thanks all!
