The expression level of our recombinant protein (under AOX1 promotor) on BSM (synthetic media recommended for fermentation) is much lower than on BMGY/BMMY. Is it possible to use BMGY/BMMY in bioreactor or not?

Did you have any experience in using these media in bioreactor? Don't you know, if it would cause too much foam?
you can use, but only for batch culture. Because in fed batch you need control concentration limiting substrate and it can done in simple media. of course you can add some complex compound such as yeast extract to defined media foe more expression.
complex media or any proteins compounds in media culture usually increase foaming . Also high aeration and agitation intensify foaming. you can use various ways for prevention and reduction foaming depend on your fermentation process and media cultures.
