My research involve giving arsenic orally to Spraque Dawley rat. I noticed that perfusion is the standard method to isolate liver. However, since cost is my main problem to buy percoll and collagenase (I have to perfuse 20rats), Iam thinking of mincing the liver and incubate in collagenase. Hoping that I can cut cost.

YES，you can just mincing the liver tissue instead of Percoll. There are several ways to get primary cell from tissue, one of them is it. You can cut liver off, then remove the adipose tissue and connective tissue，mince liver into about 1mm^3 pieces, wash them by D-Hank's solution twice, then digest them by collagenase.
