Hello,

I am using FITC-conjugated isolectin b4 to look at perfused vasculature in the myocardium. However, i would like to be able to remove the lectin from the tissue section so that I can probe other targets and use the FITC channel. I know that isolectin b4 can be eluted/inhibited with galactose / raffinose, but has anyone tried this on a tissue section or have any sources that have done this?

For background, we infuse lectin through the tail-vein for ~5 minutes, then explant the heart, embed in OCT, then freeze (without fixation). The tissue is then sectioned at 10 microns, and processed for normal IHC.

Thanks so much!
