I have done thawing in water bath with gentle shaking for 1-2 minute, and tried to do thawing in ice as well, but the result was not satisfactory. What could be the reason for it? I would also like to know, what is the most effective procedure for HEK-cell revival and passaging.

Dear Thomas Mohr, Thank you for this answer. But in case of Huh-7, hepg-2, 2215 cells thawing in ice and then rubbing with hand is effective.. Do you think that the thawing process by rubbing with palm is right? I am in doubt in doing that.. as it can swift the lid of vial.. and can we make the vial sealed with Parafilm tape?
