To isolate DNA from mouse ear pieces for genotyping, we use a digestion buffer and we add prot K. Our DNA digestion buffer contains: Tris-HCl (pH 8.0), EDTA (pH 8.0), NaCl and SDS. We always add the prot K at the moment of DNA isolation, but of course we make a bit more than needed. Can we store this, and re-use this for the next DNA isolation? Thanks!
