Can a ligation reaction can be stored in the freezer and used again?

No problem! That's the proper way to stock the rest of the ligation mix when waiting for transformation outcome.
I always store what's left of my ligations at -20°C, just in case ..... and it always works when I re-use them.
No problem. It's a good idea always save your ligation mix at -20 in case you do not get the right number of colonies the first time.
I think it can be stored for a maximum of few weeks. My experience in doing SNP array, I stored ligation products for more than 3 months in -20C, then I proceed to PCR and PCR product purification. Unfortunately, the concentration of purified products became lower than what I used to get (if I did the PCR on the next day after ligation).
It is always good to store at 4C for 12-36 hours and for long term storage (without repeated freeze and thaw) use -20C.
I want to store my ligation mix just over night and use in transformation the next day, will 4 degrees just good or it has to go into -20 degrees?
