I need to dissolve a few fatty acids of C10 to C20 such as myristic, stearic and arachidic acid for a PRO-DNA binding reaction to carry out an EMSA. I tried with DMSO, where I dissolved the acids in 100% DMSO and used in the reaction directly. I checked the effect of DMSO in my binding reaction and it didn't interfere with the binding. Are there any good suggestions to dissolve and dilute fatty acids which are more suitable for a PRO-DNA binding reaction?
