I have many flasks of yeast culture (some of them treated with a vegetable peel), and I want to know which flask contains more yeast loads after incubation(starting with 10^8 yeast cells). Can I do so by investigating the enzyme activity of the flasks? in another word, can I say the flask with higher enzyme activity contains more yeast loads?
In my project I have to detect both yeast growth and enzyme activity in different treated cultures. I wondered if both of them can be measured by enzyme activity for saving time.

Dear Danung, I mean is reading the absorbance of some enzyme enough for concluding which flask contained the largest amount of yeast?
You can check yeast cell growth and enzyme activity together using a spectrophotometer. You have to measure the growth curve and enzyme activity simultaneously after particular intervals.
