Can DMSO be used as an excipient in oral liquid dosage forms and what is its permitted concentration?

DMSO is used as an aprotic solvent for acid-labile active ingredient .On this way the stability of the active substance in oral liquid form is achieved until the end of the shelf life. A potential concern is whether DMSO is an allowed excipient in oral liquid forms and at what concentration?
