Actually I want to know, up to which length the probe should be dipped into the suspension, Whether it is necessary to keep the probe and the container vertical, what temperature should be maintained outside or if any other parameters should be kept in mind, Please elaborate.

I do not recommend KD2 pro for nanofluid measurements based on my experience. We had sporadic response from it with low repeatability rate. In case you decide to do that, you must make sure the temperature is kept constant. You need a jacket heat exchanger and the container must be as small as possible. The more the probe is dipped the more accurate the results.Your best bet would be a hot wire k-meter. I am publishing a paper that addresses this.

I am facing same kind of problem. Though I have use the old 'KD2' instrument. I don't have any experience on new 'KD2 Pro' device.
Then make yourself a hot wire thermal conductivity meter. We had very good success with it.
Can you suggest me the best reference to make the THW meter? Thanks in advance.
Avec le fil chaud le risque est d'avoir de la convection, l'idéal est de mettre le liquide entre 2 cylindres métalliques de façon à avoir un grand rapport de forme, par exemple un entrefer de 2 mm pour une hauteur de 200 mm, on démontre que le transfert au milieu de la hauteur est purement conductif.

Nous travaillons en régime transitoire, le flash est obtenu par une lampe à éclat de la longueur du dispositif à l'intérieur du système (avec les réflexion multiple le flux est uniforme sur la paroi interne) et l'environnement externe est à température uniforme.
