When you are using surfactants with solvents ,you need to be very careful about checking the reactivity and compatibility between them otherwise that may influence your final result, you can do that using zeta potential.
I prepared Silicon nano containers using CTAB and preferred using water as a solvent, so do some careful research before choosing one, Good luck!
thanks a lot for your responses. Is di-idomethane a good choice? I know that surfactants have a very low solubility in toluene. I am looking forward to calculating the surface energy of the surfactant adsorbed slides, using the contact angle data. These surfactants are highly soluble in water and hence, water contact angle data is not reliable. I think toluene-di-idomethane is a good combination.
