I am working with a large volume of interviews from different social actors. These interviews have already undergone a first stage of analysis and now need to be systematized into reports. For this analysis, I would also like to work with Goffman's frame analysis approach.
Both MAXQDA and ATLAS.ti offer access to Chat.GPT, but I believe that MAXQDA only works with the data one interview at a time, so that might not be enough for a large data set.

As for Goffman's frame analysis, I have read that book, and it doesn't have much to say about methods. What did you have in mind?
For the analysis of the interviews, I am using the following method: open coding and identification of frames --> grouping of initial codes into larger categories that represent common themes or ideas --> refinement of initial codes, organizing them into more precise categories, observing patterns and discrepancies
I am not a big believer in trying to get ChatGPT to mimic existing approaches to qualitative data analysis, such as beginning with open coding and moving on from there in hopes of developing themes. Instead, I recommend letting the software do what it is already good at -- summarizing large volumes of data in a conversational format.
If you do indeed want to do open coding, then you will first need to "fracture" your data as input to ChatGPT. One way I have seen this done is to use an Excel spreadsheet to turn every sentence in the data into a codable sentence.
With regard to framing, are you aware of the work on this topic that has been done in the fields of social movements and communication research? The content analytic approaches that they use might be helpful for you.

However, it is necessary to fracture the data so it can perform the coding, and then ask it to group the frames into larger categories, identify convergences and divergences, and also the most significant statements.
