I want to know thermal conductivity and specific heat for an aluminium composite aluminium 6061 and Varying percentages of SiC (3,6,9,12% etc).Or if someone is working on this please let me know.
An excellent method for the absolute measurement of thermal conductivity of composites is the transient plane source (TPS) technique. In addition, this method provides values for thermal diffusivity and specific heat, all in one measurement.
The TPS technique can also test anisotropy, which is a common property of extruded and rolled aluminium materials.
