We are looking for some STED compatible dye to use in our lipid bilayer.(Depletion laser - 592nm).
Any fluoroscent lipids with excitation other than 488nm would be very helpful for our experiments.
Molecular Probes has BODIPY lipid dyes, with excitation maxima from 500-650 and emission maxima from 510 to 665 nm.

1.Currenlty we are using BODIPY c12 HPC and it is not very stable with sted. And moreover its emission maxima is 510-515, which overlaps with Atto488 spectra.
2.As we are going to introduce some external agents(ex:dendrimers, toxins) on our bilayer which will be tagged with atto 488, we are looking for some lipid probe away from this region and also photostable with STED laser.

Dear Roobala,
NBD is much worse than Bodipy and not suitable for STED at all. Besides the paper Guiseppe mentioned, you may want to check the paper below where different green emitting dyes were compared for their stability and STEDibility.
