There's several DHT kits out there and I was wondering if anyone could recommend one that seems to be robust and precise. I'll be doing my own validations with whatever kit I end up with, but I'd like to start with one that has some positive reviews. Thank you!
Beware that not all providers are the original manufacturer. Biocompare returns 142 products across 19 suppliers. So best is to find a manufacturer who sells their own-made kits, and who provides some evidence of performance on their datasheet. Perhaps http://www.avivasysbio.com/dihydrotestosterone-elisa-kit-okeh02531.html would be a good candidate, but there are no customer reviews for this product on their website. If there are no further recommendations in the coming days or weeks and you need professional assistance in identifying the right kit, let me know.
Jan makes an excellent point about kit manufacturers vs. suppliers. Thank you both so much for your replies. I definitely noticed as I was searching for kits that most of them looked to be the same, just with vastly different prices. That's why I was hoping to find someone that could give me a definite "yay" or "nay" on something they have actually tried. It seems like there is a class of kits around the $200 mark and then a whole other group that's more around $600 - $800. The Aviva Systems Biology Kit does fall nicely in between those 2 price points, has a reasonable limit of detection and nice range on the standards. That might be a good place to start...
