It is as necessary as fire ... very insightful and educational (along with all publications he is author and/or co-author of since). Very important man in this field. Perhaps the top person - it is largely felt. Other names to be aware of: Vandesompele, Hellemans, Kubista, Nolan & Pfaffl... I've missed mentioning many - but these will lead to all others.
