I purchased Azathioprine from Sigma. I am trying to dissolve Azathioprine in DCM to encapsulate in NPs bcoz the carrier polymer is only soluble in DCM. I also tried to dissolve in ethanol, but it doesnt dissolve. But when I google its solubility, it says it dissolve in ethanol and DCM.I am desperately trying and looking for help to solve this problem. Please share your experience.

The two solvents you mention are quite different (their solubility parameter is not even close) so it would be very hard for them to dissolve the same material the same way (yes there is also a polarity issue but that's besides the point). Generally it would be very hard something that will dissolve a drug and a polymer. I would suggest to you to first try solvents combinations. Also, which of the solvents gave you better solubility of the two? I found that it is soluble in dilute alkali solutions, which is basically slightly basic water...you need a polar solvent or high solubility parameter, maybe formamide.
