Can anyone help me out with the possible data which can be retrieved from it?
I'm a novice in this line.
I air-dried the scales and I just put the scale on the stub and gold coat it and go for the picture in Hitachi S-530 Model..
Should I cut it someway? Please suggest me...
Open any image in GIMP softwer
1. measure pixel size of the datascale given in the images.
2. make squre box (pixel length of box=n*pixel length of data scale)
e.g in your case (image 1) x is pixel size of 1 mm data scale , crop the image with box side length y=2x which is equal to 2x2 mm^2 sized image.

If you want to establish presence of As in the fish scales go for EDS analysis with backscattered (BS) mode. The BS image might show As as bright spots. For EDS analysis the sample should be carbon coated (not gold coated). If you need surface features then take secondary electron image (SEI) otherwise go for BS electon image.
