Dear All,

I have a question about different forms of pyrite in sediments. I know pyrite is generally present in framboid and single mineral forms in sediments. Upon SEM analysis, however, I found pyrite (confirmed by EDX) in a very different shape (figure is attached).

Is anyone familiar with this kind of pyrite?

Do microbes involved in the formation of such pyrite forms?
