I am working with huvec.
I use m199 for huvec works.
Here is my question :
During experiments with m199, when amount of m199 or trypsin is not enough,
I have to use new 20% m199 , new 0% m199(0% m199 for transfection) or new trypsin.
Everything is ok, but I am concerned about the heterogeneity of medium or trypsin.
For example, 2 samples of 20% m199 may differ a little bit in composition
and condition if manufactured in different days and it is same with 2 samples of 0% m199.
I think such difference is minute, but I am worried about the heterogeneity mentioned above and whether such factors affect results of experiments critically.

Hi Lee,
I think if you buy the m199 commercially the composition should not differ greatly. The biggest difference might be in your FCS if it comes from separate lot numbers and has not been batch tested.

20% m199 by adding FBS and several other factors
so I am concerned about heterogeneity of medium
and whether it will affect results of experiments critically even though such heterogeneity seems to be minute.
