I have fabricated undoped and Cu doped ZnS nanostructures on mica substrates, I got the XRD results which will match the cubic ZnS nanostructures but in this results I got very sharp, very intense and noise less XRD pattern . what is the cause of this results?

Are you sure that the peaks match with ZnS? It seems that these peaks do not pertain to nanostructures (broad peaks should be present) but the pattern could pertain to mica substrate. Maybe you can post a figure in which we can see the diffraction angles so we can help you in a better way
to my knowledge, nano structures do not have sharp peaks, they have broad peaks

To confirm the obtained XRD belongs to the investigated material (ZnS nano structures) Firstly, Make XRD for the Mica substrate individually then subtract it from the mentioned result. the mentioned peaks may be due to Mica background.

Hello Nitin, the Intensity is related to various factors in the XRD pattern. However as per your concern, I would like to say here after seeing your pattern however its did not show clearly the exact peak positions-
Mostly After doping if the peak position also showing quite shifting as well change in the intensity the change in phase structure (for ex- rhombohedral to cubic from 100% to 5%,10%....... or whatever respectively) will be possible. as well as you should check.
The mass absorption coefficient of the material, here you can check that the intensity in without doped is higher as compared to doping. So you should check numerically mass absorption coefficient for Cu and Zn at 4.3061 MeV (energy of Xrays).
I agree with the suggestion of Eldenglawey. The mica substrate could produce a signal such as the observed one. Have you tried to grow samples on other substrates?
i am very interested in that, i have never met before. and i think it's related to Mica background, u can do some other experiments to improve it. good luck for u.

I agree with all of the suggestions before me also, you could chick the particle size of your samples Cu doped and un-doped on ZnS by using the HRTEM technique.
