Hello all,

I'm looking to calibrate the UVB dose that will induce DNA damage in a monolayer of cancer cell lines/ primary cells but will keep most of them cycling. I want to follow the DNA damage induction and repair in a time course.

1. What range (in mJ/cm2) would be relevant in a single treatment? Different papers use different doses.

2. What is the relevant time frame for the DNA damage response?

3. Is there any way to separate between the rate of DNA damage occurence and it's repair? Are there any specific indicators?

Thanks in advance.
