I have been using epilife media (low Ca 0.06mM) for keratinocytes culture, however, this medium leads to cells come apart and lose contact. To gain cell-cell, we turned the medium into 2mM Ca using (L4388 SIGMA, Calcium L-lactate hydrate). The cell adhesion was gained. I just knew that many people use Clacium cholride for this purpose. My question is: Does this materiel I added (Calcium L-lactate hydrate) into the medium affects the cells apart from Ca-dependent cell-cell contact?
