I am tempted to buy a bioanalyser to test DNA quality and quantity prior to NGS. The Agilent BioAnalyzer 2100 is rather cheap, but it has been around for a while. I am wondering wether there is a more recent machine that I should get instead.
We have an agilent tapestation but I've never used it for NGS. I use it with genomic screen tape for assessing average strand length. I'm not impressed with the readings, the software, or Agilent's attitude to our technical problems.
