Hi everyone.
As crude as this may sound, I really need a job. Its been far too long I've been trying various portals and methods including LinkedIn, Jobstreet, indeed, recruiters, conference networking etc etc etc. I have even been trying for postgrads for a year now, however I have lost interest as earning is my primary concern.
I have a GPA of 3.77 (first class honors), IELTS Band 8, have diverse skillsets, and can adapt to any assigned tasks and new environments.
I'm looking for anything related to healthcare biotechnology research, lab assistance or even scientific communication and exhibitions.
I am open to opportunities in Singapore as I am planning to visit by mid Jan 2024. Other locations of interest include the UK, Australia, New Zealand and Europe.
I would greatly appreciate any opportunities that members of our fellow science community may know.

U can work in private hospitals, laboratories, and pharma companies. In the government sector, careers as research associate, scientist, or in the department of biotechnology.

Although I regrettably do not have a job suggestion for you I just want to say I resonate a lot with this post. I am a biotech student currently in my last semester and I am desperate for a job since earning is a dire necessity for me. I tried with all the aforementioned portals but no luck, biotech jobs for freshers like me in my country are simply oblivious. I wish you good luck on your quest and hope you land on a pretty good post.

Thank you for your response and I apologize for my delay. Unfortunately, jobs in hospitals have only ever been requesting for those with a Biomedical science degree and completely disregard me as a biotech.
I have only been receiving rejections, including the job suggestions you had mentioned. I'm honestly reaching the end of my science-hunting endeavour because of the lack of consideration, even though that is not what I want.
I have been rejected due to visa restrictions, not being a specific ethnicity, not enough desired work experience, not being in the employer's country already, or just...no reason at all.
@Adarsh Shetty thank you for your honest response and I'm sorry that you're experiencing this even before graduating. I wish I could give you good news as a graduate senior but..quite honestly there is none unless you gain contacts from your university professors and internship. Don't waste that because after, it's near impossible to get to know people as a foreigner in a foreign land. The locals will be chosen first, we are a legal liability. If you find an opportunity in your home country, gain that one year experience and start applying outside. Me, I'm stuck as a foreigner for the rest of my life even in my own country.
I see no point no matter how many people tell me to join networking events. The real effect of those meets is being face to face but if its not where you live, there's only so much you can do with the online ones. I've attempted a few and spoken to various people on LinkedIn and other events. No luck. Its getting really tough to see the positive side in all this.
