I have recently used the DNEasy tissue kit to extract DNA from intestinal biopsies with the goal of amplifying the 16SrRNA gene for bacteria for sequencing. I know there are many kits on the market that promise bacterial DNA extraction from tissues and biopsies but am not sure which is the best one to try out next. Any suggestions?
I am right now in the same situation as you, Did you try different kits? which one you found it was the best? any recommendations? Thanks in advance.
QIA amp Fast DNA Stool Mini Kit
QIA method : One milliliter of the bacterial suspension was centrifuged at 2700g for 5 min, and the precipitated bacteria were resuspended with 220 µL of PBS. DNA was extracted from 220 µL of the bacterial suspension using a QIAamp Fast DNA Stool Mini Kit (Qiagen) according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
I have got good results.
