The aim for me is to know, will the cells have some problem if I grown them in Glutamine, which were previously grown in media containing L-Alanyl-Glutamine (Glutmax or Ultraglutamine)?
Besides increased stability at 37C, L-alanyl-L-glutamine reduces the build-up of toxic ammonia compared to L-glutamine (due to the latter's spontaneous conversion into pyrrolidone carboxylic acid and NH3), including long-term culture. Cells can be sensitve to ammonia, even at nontoxic levels.
