Chaque saison était notre saison d'aimer Et nous ne redoutions ni l'hiver ni l'automne C'est toujours le printemps quand nos vingt ans résonnent Non je n'ai rien oublié, rien oublié ....
In autumn the energy is turning inward - it is am easy time to learn to connect with soul or the deeper Self. Outer nature is putting on her last coat of spender before winter - symbolic of death before the birth of a new season in Spring. Yes I like autumn....
Now that I live in Melbourne, it's just like one long Canadian (Saskatoon or Winnipeg) summer to me; no real seasons although the locals discriminate between seasons in ways I don't understand. I do like a Canadian fall ("autumn" is too lah-de-dah where I come from), especially when it's an "Indian summer"* with yellow, red, and golden leaves on the deciduous trees and frost on the ground in the mornings. The only season I didn't much like on the Canadian prairies is spring, which is slushy with dirty melting snow and thereafter dusty, from the sand put on icy roads during the winter. Plus six months' worth of dogshit that had been hidden in the snow thawing out all at once. 😖
I agree with you but it depends on location. In Michigan, USA, the fall (Autumn) is the most beautiful of all seasons. When the trees shed their leaves in endless colors that bring out the most amazing beauty of nature. I have taken the "color tour" that remains as of the most beautiful journeys ever!
On the Richter scale, earthquakes are classified by 7 according to their strength. The Japanese scale contains only 5 levels (it includes, however, 5A, 5B, etc.).
With an earthquake of 1 point, as explained in the brochure, people do not feel the vibrations of the earth. Everything proceeds as usual
Your proposal, dear Prof. Leonid is accepted: as you aspire happiness, which is guaranteed by the American declaration of independence, I will implement spring and autumn as seasons, to ensure your personal happiness. This decision is still pending the admission of the weather ministry, which is currently out to take its summer vacancy in Sicily.
In accordance with the Russian Calendar - we have a deep Autumn now. The fact that the members of the Ministry of Weather - are still on Summer Holidays - means that the USA has long ago adopted an amendment to the Constitution according to which the year consists of more than 4 number of climatic seasons. Thank you for your friendly understanding and support.
One of my favorite educational events (since 30 years, mainly for young people, until 27) in political education is always to create the ministry of weather. It is one of my favorite course offerings; I early detected weather modification as a category of political interest.
Once, when I was working in a city near the sea, in the summer, on weekdays the weather was always nice, but on weekends it was always rain. It was so obvious that a colleague asked me: "Vadim, what can this mean?" I answered, it means that they do not want us to rest, they want us to work ...
Whery profound thoughts , I think autum is a wehry important transformational time period for every “ life - form “ on earth 🌏 a reminder of passing connecting-nes of food/heat harvesting and getting ready for winter season
Thank you for your very interesting observations concerning weather.
Also I agree that weather is by somehow intertwined with politics - as mentioned Dr. Gorshkov.
The "Ministry of Weather" - is a very good and entertaining idea. Something like that introduced my Father who during 45 years was Professor at Russian Physical-Technical University (the level of education at the latter is analogous to MIT). Also thank you for interesting friendly discussion.
Autumn is not really separate from how we see ourselves. For those of us in the autumn of our lives, it can be time of bringing out and shedding (sharing) with others the "colours" we have gathered throughout our life - I personally I find this exciting and quite amazing!
It is also a time of reflection when we can realise with wonder how many people have given us so much and it is thanks to them we can now share this knowledge with others.
Autumn is visually nice but it does seem a bit foreboding of the coming winter, withthe shortening days after the autumn Equinox and dropping temperatures. I must admit much I prefer spring and summer. The spring Equinox seems to offer hope, while the Summer Solstice is the pivot point of the year.
Autumn is the preparation of nature for the difficulties of the coming winter. Nature, like any mother, wants to make sure that the creation will prevail. Old leaves take on millions of colors and everything is in position for the first snow. What I like in autumn is exactly this readiness.
In fact, it depends to the place or area that you live in, I am travel to different countries, live there for some time, I like this season in some places, and did not like in other areas.
It depends very much on the geographic region. In Canada, in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Northwestern Ontario, fall (we don't usually call it autumn) is definitely my favorite season, and in addition to the changing colors of deciduous trees, I like the cool morning air with frost on the grass and fallen leaves. Where I live now in Australia, the locals seem to know what season it is but I am generally confused....
