The non-Occurrence (q) of a phenomenon is the limit at one end of the continuum that leads to the other pole in the total certainty that happens, where p + q = 1

I think that "probability" is a mathematical term, where "possibility" is not. There isn't much more to it.
Probability can be infinitesimally small or even zero, and one can express it as 1-p, when necessary. There's nothing to suggest "probability," as a mathematical term, implies a small or a large value.
I would say that in common, non-mathematically-rigorous parlance, the term "probable" implies a non-deterministic event in which the probability of occurrence is greater than 0.5. Whereas the term "possible" is often used to mean the event might occasionally occur, but not most of the time.
Just to be sure I'm not missing anything profound, see this (which I have to say, I do not find very compelling):
Thank you for starting this network of discussion and argumentation about Probability and Possibility.
It seems a simple question, but as we go into the meaning of the terms and their application in different fields of life, the situation is changing and according to the perspective the panorama is broadened or narrowed, delimiting better our conception.
The document proposed in the previous league is very illustrative of how the terms are linked and used in both the colloquial natural language as well as the technical and scientific language.
Both terms "Possibility and Probability" remain to the same semantic field:
Probability is the circumstance that "something" happens or is likely (circular definition), but also is understood as the mathematical calculation of the possibilities that exist that a thing or phenomenon happen or are randomly verified.
Possibility, is "something", as a certain phenomenon or event, that can happen and therefore exist.
As we can see, Possibility is a larger but less delimited semantic field; While Probability is a smaller semantic field belonging to the semantic field of Possibility, but better delimited and susceptible for the same. To be qualified and quantified.
In a similar way as the semantic fields are handled, we can also extrapolate the aforementioned to the "Field Theory", where phenomena such as forces and vectors, interaction or separation of phenomena, power or antagonism are studied and described in mathematical language of forces and vectors, etc.
If we denote Possibility as A and Probability as B; In this simile, A is the whole and B the part
Following the same example, in scientific research, A is the population or universe to be studied, and B is the part of the universe, already selected, delimited and characterized to perform a study, that is, B is the study sample, susceptible of measuring and quantifying phenomena in simple or statistical mathematical form.
However, even knowing the above, the question follows. At what point does possibility become probability?
