I currently use an absorbance-based ATPase assay centered around coupling released phosphates with the conversion of MESG by PNP. This results in increased product concentrations and a corresponding increase in an absorbance peak at 360 nM. I believe this is a common alternative to the similar NAD/NADH phosphate-coupled assay.

Are there fluorimetric assays that can be performed which may have increased sensitivity? We are looking to scale our assay to lower volumes (
