Textbooks always say that SEM uses a self-biased electron gun with a variable resistor. When the emission current passes through the variable resistor, a bias voltage is generated on the Wehnelt cylinder. But today's high-voltage power supplies usually have 3 or even 4 high-voltage outputs. I know that some of them are used for field emission SEMs. But it is hard to imagine that the current thermal emission SEM still use this kind of self-biased electron gun. Is there a ready-made high-voltage power supply module that can be used?
