Can anyone locate any research around the effectiveness of psychoeducational (or narrative) movies for those with a mental illness? and for their families?
I recommend taking a look at a couple of books by Danny Wedding - 1. Positive Psychology at the Movies 2, and 2. Movies and Mental Illness, 4th edition. The first book seems like it might be more along the lines of what you are looking for, but "Movies and Mental Illness" might also be a useful source.
Movies about work, about organizations and features of work, of social inserts, on emotional, family and social relationships; about sport, about art, about painting, etc, etc ...
