Yes they are. I offer Code_Aster courses having a lot of interested Companies.
Moreover, for fluid dynamics, OpenFOAM is already adopted from big Companies such VW.

Firstly, I am glad that very few researchers are there involved in FEM analysis and you are one of them.
You can use Staad Pro, ETabs and Sap 2000 for structures
And
For more deep FEM analysis, you can use Ansys software.

Thanks Sagar Jamle. The software that you have mentioned are proprietary. I am interested in knowing users of open source tools like Calculix, codeaster etc. Open foam is popular in CFD but what about open source Structural analysis tools.
