As it is necessary to draw family pedigree for Linkage analysis in my thesis, I'm looking for a useful pedigree drawing program which is compatible with Windows 7. I found some program such as PED, But I couldn't save the pedigree as CSV or Linkage format. Could anyone suggest me a program or send it to my email address?
You can use Cyrillic, which is free, but can be a bit problematic at times with errors and such. However, it is a very easy to use software, and makes nice looking pedigrees. (http://www.cyrillicsoftware.com/)
Another option is Progeny. I really liked using this program because you can add markers and haplotypes to it fairly easily. You can do this in Cyrillic as well, but Progeny is prettier. However, I believe it is also very expensive, but if you know someone who had a copy, I"d recommend it as well, though it is harder to use than Cyrillic.
I'm using Progeny siftware from 1997 my work time in Ubiversity of Utah Um US. So, I have much experience working with different versions of Progeny. I'm agree that it is a best for genetic studies software with increasing genetic and genomic options for genome-wide analyses of STRs, SNPs etc...but the prices also increases and now are too much that makes it difficult to buy. I think some options in current software are not necessary and just increased the prices.
Many thanks for all your suggestions. A friend of mine gave me Cyrillic but it was not compatible with windows7. I asked free trial version of progeny online for 15 days. As you suggested it has a lot of features.

I attached Fig of extended pedigree branch with aggregation of major depressive disorders and suicides I ascertained un one remote highland isolate of Dagestan (Caucasus, Russia). This branch is printed from Progeny. The good for us is that Progeny dbs output of such pedigrees are in linkage format that after some formatting work we can use for linkage, haplutype, IBD etc analyses

Perogeny and PED6 and Cyrilic are the best choice for drawing a pedigree.

PhenoTips (https://phenotips.org/) software has a built-in pedigree drawing tool that is very easy to use. Moreover, it is free to use for research purposes and there is support available for clinical implementation as well.
if you know a little about R programming, you can use kinship2 package, it is FREE. https://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/kinship2/index.html
if you want to add haplotype data, you can try HaploPainter. http://haplopainter.sourceforge.net/index.html
You can draw pedigree simply in excel. then convert excel file to pdf. i have attached one in the attachment
Progeny inc software was best for geneticists working with pedigrees and linkage analyzes based on STRs. But last years more advanced versions includes SNPs with mutations screening and new genealogy features and new higher prices - became harder to use .... I prefer earlier versions of the Progeny but Inc made much limitations with compatibility of every new versions with preliminary...My pedigrees contains 500-800 members of 14 generations with numerous inbred loops from ethnically diverse isolates....broke my head))) try to enter genome-wide STRs&SNPs...the tool doesn't work((.
TrakGene includes a pedigree drawing tool and is actively being supported and developed https://www.trakgene.com/features/pedigree-chart-drawing-tool-family-tree-maker/ It's a Windows based application.
There is also a cloud version that works on both PC and Mac. You can get a free demo on the website.

Phenotips seem easy to use and free. Includes scale-able graphics and you can add both affected, carrier, uncertain status etc and also other comorbidities, text and so on. Althought, if you need many illustrative markers i,e, for several concomitant diseases, or need to file complex data on the individuals, progeny should be the better choice in my opinion.
FamGenix is another option. It is a family health history platform that has a user-friendly pedigree drawing feature as well as a patient-facing interface for collecting data. https://famgenix.com/
