Currently using a Q Exactive coupled to either an ESI probe or a Nanomate for DIMS. Following DIMS acquisitions, within a week we consistently have flow issues and usually complete blockage of the ESI needle. Doesn't make sense as both sources are completely independent, but this is the pattern. No issues with mobile phase, sample crashing out of solution, or other common chromatography problems. Anyone else experience similar issues? Ideas for prepping ESI probe for storage or re-equilibration after storage?
Hello, I have similar problem but in other equipment but may be this info will help to solve your problem. After long therm storage I was problems with ESI needle on ABI SCIEX 2000 LC/Ms/Ms no liquid pass trough needle. For solving this problem I put needle in ACN with 5% TFA and put in ultrasound bath for 20min. After all problem is solved.

To start with you can use 50% methanol and sonicate it. If it dosent help then immerse it in pure formic acid and ultrasonication bath.
