Polyamide resin is a glue for the pressfit/capillary, e.g. connecting two capillaries or repair a broken one.
After cutting the capillary place a small drop approximately 5mm from the end of the capillary.
Press the capillary gently into the pressfit and turn it ~45°.
The glue needs 12-24h to harden, afterwards heat the oven the oven to 80° for two hours.
However, you will find two fractions with GC operators: One uses pressfits, the other one hates them. I belong to the latter one, usually I use valco connectors for capillary columns.
