I have immobilized a catalyst onto macroporous supports, with a rough and irregular surfaces. I want to evaluate the adhesion of the coating onto these kinds of surfaces. I have found in the literature two methods: one is based on the D 3359 ASTM standard (cross-hatch tape test), and the other one consists in subjecting the coated support to sonication and measure the quantity of coating that keeps on the support.
I think that the first method is more appropriate for flat and smooth surfaces. So, I have discarded it due to the nature of my supports. Does anybody know another method, apart from the sonication test, to assess the adherence of the coating on my non-flat supports?
Thank you so much for sharing your experience with me.
