Teaching the same course over and over again can be boring, especially if it is a beginner's course.
But teaching a new class can be hard work because you must start from the beginning to develop all of your lectures and learning activities.
Which would you prefer?

- A new course to lecture is fun because it is the opportunity to research the field and learn about the field.
- A well established course is fun because it is an opportunity to bring my material up to date, polish my presentation, learn more about what works with these students, and think up some new exam questions that I have never set before. That is not boring.
The amount of time taken for three five-year old courses is about the amount of time for a new course, because a good proportion of time is fixed for student interaction, assessment and administration.
Teaching a new subject will make you upgraded.

Unofortunately, Many of teachers escape from teaching new titles because they think that it is difficult to handle. Actually, being master in one subject has its own positive features. But it is good to handle new situations and topics in order to prevent fossilizing of our knowlege. That's why I prefer to go for new experiences. Challenge will make teachers more accurate and creative.

I would prefer lecturers for units i have taught since it helps me to master the subject content. On the other hand, i don't mind teaching new this helps me in my research.
I am crazy for learning new things..new subject..new learning... new experience...new challenges.. every word will start with "new"....
I would prefer a familiar course as I rather channel my energy and time towards research. A new course would mean starting from scratch and will involve lots of time.

Its truly monotonous teaching same subject or course over a period of time. I am in this situation now, dealing with same module for quite long. In this situation, I would rather challenge teaching different subject within my scope than to dictate same ideas.
One always has the third option to change the reading list and the assignments for an old course thereby making it effectively new (under the guise of the old course name).
I love teaching new courses as I'm hooked on learning but I do find it takes 3 times running a course to get any issues ironed out properly - first time run through allows noting things you need to change/modify for next time and get student feedback. Second time you implement the new aspects and get further student feedback. Then third time the course runs as it needs to. So my preference is to be able to see a course to this stage and then happily hand it over to someone else and take up a new challenge.

This is an interesting question. There are advantages to each. I rarely teach any class the same way a second time, so there is an element of newness built into the lesson regardless of whether I am teaching a course or lesson for a second or fiftieth time.
Experience with a topic and prior reflection and evaluation of the lesson helps make it better and better with each new iteration of a lesson. Therefore, a lesson becomes more polished over time. Still, with each new audience (class) comes different personalities and new challenges, so the lesson is never perfected. As a result, my lessons are in a constant state of flux.
Conversely, I love having a new subject or topic to teach. I think that I approach new topics with more enthusiasm than I do with lessons that I have experience teaching. That is not to say that I don't enjoy a topic once it has been taught, and different groups can bring new meaning and excitement to the class. Yet, there is something to be said for that raw-inexperience the first time I teach a completely new topic. Case in point, this year I am teaching a brand new middle school elective in cartooning and caricature, and I am having more fun with this class than I am with the electives that I have taught before. Part of that feeling is that I am a lifelong learner; so, new classes give me additional opportunities to research and develop the plan thereby increasing my own learning experience. Some of the enthusiasm of learning is transferred into teaching the topic. That is why I try to inject old lessons with some new information. It helps me get back some of my own joy for teaching the topic.
I would do both because like I said elsewhere, it is the teaching method that is to be designed to captivate the audience/learners' attention. Learning is very boring and uninteresting when presented in a monotonous manner day in day out.
For me Teaching a new course is a challenge and it keeps my brain healthy because it helps me to keep researching and continuously acquire knowledge.
The art is teaching is a skill which when manipulated skillfully, meets the outcome of your plan.
I guess you should first define the terminology "perception' first. Then you would become aware of what education and learning is all about at different levels using your five+ senses. Then you will regard, understand and interpret things about teaching and learning in certain context. eg. HE, Middle schooling lower and elementary levels of education.
