Either due to infinitesimal quantities or some affinity to nucleases, we are detecting reduced detection of plant viruses from aphids collected from infected plants (showing symptoms). It is not clear whether this is linked to the duration of storage; virus titre in the substrate or some other confounding factor. Has anyone ever experienced this? Please share your experience, or publications please.
