The World Health Organization (WHO) developed the Global Technical Strategy (GTS) for malaria 2016 -2030 and emphasized on the need to scale up malaria responses and move towards elimination. The target of the GTS is to reduce the global malaria burden by 90% by 2030. Is this possible? What can we do to ensure we attain this goal?

Please do not be over optimistic . There are many obstacles including climate changes etc
It would be best if this goal can be achieved by then, however, there would also be many impedements, and it is also important that all individuals or organizations (governments) involved can strive for the fulfillment of this grand goal.

Thank you very much for your response. Actually the target is set by WHO in the GTS. We however want to look at the determinants and factors that will influence this positively or negatively in our setting
