Hi Andrea, generally you should ALWAYS avoid inhaling nanoparticle of ANY kind as it will be many decades before the full hasardous nature of these particles is ultimately understood and documented. However, unless the bulk material itself is toxic, the more inert the material, the more potentially hazardous the nanoparticles are. In the case of iron oxide nanoparticles they form a simple basic oxide so will readily dissolve in a weakly acidic environment and are unlikely to persist as nanopartilces for very long. I suspect the technical data for the material you use will actually give some more concrete idea of how long it takes the body to remove traces of these particles and MSDN data will also document toxic effects and problems with inhalation.

Hi Andrea, I see what you mean. Im no expert in the medical area, but I would expect that the particles would have largely worked their way through the body or at least been very much dispersed by now.

Hi Andrea, I think they won't cause any problems during your MRI test.

Coz firstly, you are not sure from inhaling.

Secondly, it's not a bulk material that could cause a problem of such test.
