Recently, I was studying the cell-cell junction interaction. I realized the junction protein of cells have selective connection property. For example, cadherin help selective cell–cell recognition and make cells of the same differentiated tissue adhere together. Dose it means of different cell resources (gene background differences), but the same cell type, co-culture together will also cause the selective phenomenon, such as human-epithelial cell and animal-epithelial cells? Also, if co-culture with different type cells and different gene cells, what will happen, such as human-HUVEC cell and animal-epithelial cell co-culture.

Thank you very much!
